1. Register for CopyMate Private View
Open the Private View link supplied by your strategy provider and select Register. CopyMate has its own login, so you must register even if you already have a MarketMates Client Portal account. You may use the same email address for both accounts.
Read and accept the CopyMate terms before creating the account, then reopen the provider's Private View link after signing in.
2. Review the strategy
Review the available historical performance, maximum drawdown, monthly returns, trading statistics and trade history. Consider whether the strategy and its risks suit your objectives before connecting your account.
3. Link your MT5 CopyMate account
Open Accounts in the left navigation and select Link Your First Account. If another account is already linked, select Link Account.
Add a useful account label, then choose MarketMates as the broker and MarketMates-Live as the server.
Enter the MT5 Account ID from your Client Portal and your current MT5 trading password, then select Link Account.
You only need to link each MT5 account once. A meaningful label such as Main Account can make multiple accounts easier to identify.
4. Choose the account and copy settings
Return to the Dashboard, confirm the correct linked account under Copying Into, and select Copy Strategy. Review the trade-sizing method, position sizing, minimum-trade-size rounding, whether existing open trades should be copied and the strategy's performance fee.
If you want to follow the provider as closely as possible, the source guide recommends Mirror Risk by Equity, a 1.0 multiplier and Round Up to Minimum Trade Size enabled. Actual trade sizes can still vary because of balance, leverage, available margin and broker minimums.
5. Start and manage copying
Select Agree and Copy to activate the strategy. New trades from the provider will then be copied according to your settings. You can return to the dashboard to monitor performance, edit eligible settings or stop copying.
If the account shows Not Connected, check that it is funded, the saved password is current and the account remains linked. If no trades appear, the provider may not have opened a new trade yet, or your account status, funds or copy settings may prevent the trade from being copied.
