What Private View does

Private View gives invited followers access to a strategy that is not intended to be discovered through the normal public CopyMate signal list. The follower can review the information the provider makes available, choose copy and risk settings, and authorise new trades from that strategy to be copied automatically into a linked MT5 account.

It does not give the trade leader ownership of the follower's account or allow the leader to withdraw funds. The follower keeps their own trading account and can monitor the connection, change eligible settings or stop copying from the CopyMate dashboard.

Trade leader and follower roles

  • Trade leader / strategy provider: operates the strategy and supplies the private invitation link. When the leader opens or closes a trade, CopyMate sends the corresponding instruction to connected followers according to each follower's settings.

  • Follower / copier: opens the invitation link, reviews the strategy and fees, links a MarketMates MT5 CopyMate account, chooses copy and risk settings, and decides whether to start or stop copying.

How the connection works

  1. The trade leader sends the follower a Private View invitation link.

  2. The follower signs in to CopyMate and reviews the strategy, historical results, drawdown, fees and terms.

  3. The follower links a funded MarketMates MT5 CopyMate account using MarketMates-Live.

  4. The follower chooses sizing and risk settings, accepts the agreements and starts copying.

  5. Future trades from the leader are copied automatically when the account, margin and settings allow them.

What followers need to get started

  • A Private View link from the trade leader or strategy provider

  • A verified MarketMates Client Portal account

  • A MarketMates MT5 CopyMate live account with sufficient funds and available margin

  • A CopyMate login; this is separate from the MarketMates Client Portal login
