Before you begin
Make sure you have installed MetaTrader 5 (MT5), not MetaTrader 4 (MT4). You will also need the MT5 account details from your MarketMates account-details email.
Open MetaTrader 5 and choose Log in to an existing account.
Search for the MarketMates broker or server name exactly as it appears in your account-details email. Select the exact match rather than a similar-looking server.
Enter your MT5 trading account number in the Login field. This is not your MarketMates portal email address.
Enter the trading password from your account-details email. If you received separate trading and investor/read-only passwords, use the trading password.
Check that no spaces were copied before or after the account number or password, then select Sign In or Login.
Expected outcome
MT5 connects to your trading account and begins displaying the available market prices.
The MarketMates server does not appear
Fully close and reopen MT5, then search again using the exact server name from your account-details email. Try a normal Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection rather than a VPN.
The login is rejected
Confirm you installed MT5 rather than MT4, selected the exact server, entered the trading account number rather than your email address, and used the trading password rather than an investor/read-only password. Type the details manually once to rule out hidden spaces.
