What is Bank Desk Weekly?

Bank Desk Weekly is a MarketMates research series that brings together bank FX views, market drivers and events to watch. It is a reading resource, not a calculator or an order-entry tool.

  1. Open the report archive

Follow the resource link above to the Bank Desk Weekly category. Choose the report with the most recent publication date shown. Do not assume an older report covers the current week.

  2. Read the main market themes

Start with the report’s opening overview or What Matters Most section. Note the economic releases, central-bank decisions and other events behind the outlook.

  3. Find the currency pairs you follow

Read the relevant pair sections and the Bias Table where provided. Compare the stated bias, main driver and key risk rather than treating a bullish or bearish label as a standalone instruction.

  4. Review the event outlook

Read the Key Event Outlook where provided. Confirm current event dates, times and any new releases separately before using the report in your own preparation.

  5. Record what would change the view

Write down the report date, the reasoning that interests you and the conditions that could invalidate it. Compare newer reports as they become available rather than carrying an old bias forward unchanged.

If you cannot find a newer edition

Return to the category archive and check the publication dates. If the newest visible report is from an earlier week, treat it as historical research rather than a current update.
