Open R-Multiple Analyst with an MT5 statement

Before you start

Prepare an MT5 trade-history statement in XLSX format and, if available, the dollar amount you originally planned to lose at the stop. A PDF or screenshot is not the XLSX statement expected by this tool.

  1. Choose your statement

Use MT5 XLSX statement to select your file. The tool states that it parses the statement locally in your browser rather than uploading the file to Marble Lab.

  2. Choose the R method

Select Stop-loss max loss when you know the planned gross dollar loss at the stop, then enter Max loss if stop is hit. Median gross loss estimate infers 1R from losing trades when planned risk is unavailable. Fixed 1R dollar value lets you use a chosen constant dollar baseline.

  3. Decide whether to combine scale-in positions

Enable Scale / combined mode if you want overlapping positions on the same symbol grouped before calculating R. Check the resulting groups against your records, since separate trade ideas can also overlap.

  4. Run the analysis

Choose Analyse statement. Review net P/L, total R, expectancy, win rate, average win and loss, payoff ratio and profit factor. Then inspect the cumulative R curve, symbol breakdown and individual trades.

  5. Check warnings before using the results

Read import warnings and S/L diagnostics. Missing, moved, breakeven or non-adverse stops can make the recorded stop unsuitable for reconstructing original risk. Cross-check the trade count and net P/L with the statement.

Why results can differ between methods

The same dollar result gives a different R-multiple when the 1R denominator changes. A $100 profit is +2R with a $50 baseline but +1R with a $100 baseline. A single entered dollar baseline may not represent every trade if your planned risk varied.
